What is the outcome if all the students are copying the same thing in their notebook for you assignments, if any really like that subject, he/she doesn't need to listen to you. They can deep dive into the subject and learn on their own. By giving them the same assignment, you are just wasting their time. It should not be done forcefully.

We are living in the era of AI and they want to write algorithms code line by line for practical lab exams. Who will tell them that writing code in big 2026 is not difficult, and we should focus on grasping the concepts rather than memorizing code.
